Weddings at St Saviour’s

Thank you for your enquiry regarding a wedding.

You will need to meet the Curate to arrange this.  

You will need to fill in a banns form.

To marry at St Saviour’s you need to either live in the parish or have a qualifying connection.

Before your wedding, we invite you to a wedding preparation session with other couples getting married.

Your banns will be read 3 times prior to the wedding and we would love you to come to the main service a number of times at St Saviour’s before you are married and especially when your banns are being read.

The curate will always be happy to talk to you about any questions you have.

How much will it cost in 2026

 

The basic cost for the legalities is as follows for 2026:

Publication of Banns of Marriage:     £37.00

Certificate of Banns issued at time of publication:     £19.00

Marriage Service in Church:     £544.00 

You will also need to pay for a verger     £40 and

An organist, currently                                      £100

The following will occur additional costs - flowers, choir, video license and winter heating costs.
