St Saviour’s Westcliff

Knowing Jesus, Showing Jesus, Making Jesus Known

Messy Church

Messy Church is a fairly new venture at St Saviour’s and is rapidly gaining a regular following. As its name suggests, it is an opportunity to learn more about the Christian faith in an informal setting and also to try your hand at all sorts of crafts.

Messy Church usually meets inthe church hall on the first Monday of every month from 3.30 pm until 6.00 pm and is open to all ages, but is especially suitable for families with children. During School holidays times may vary.

Each month there is a special  theme.  Doors open at 3.30 pm for a drink, and perhaps a board game.  Things really get going at 4.00 pm when there is a variety of theme-related crafts on offer at the activity tables and everyone can have a go at all or any of them.   Later, in Church, we learn more about God and His love through singing, story-telling and a prayer.  While we are in Church the craft tables are cleared and set for tea, so that we can all share a hot meal together before going home at 6.00 pm.

Messy Church is a very happy and popular activity and we invite you to come and join us when we next meet.

Our next meeting will be on

on  Monday 5th March 2012 at 4.00 pm

Hope you can join us!
