10am Sunday Service
What is it?
The 10am service is our most popular service and caters particularly for children and families.
10am Holy Communion Service
On 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays we have a modern language service of Holy Communion. There is a sermon and we often follow a particular series to help us learn more about our faith. The choir helps with the singing and we do quite a lot of singing at this service! For those who would appreciate it, a healing team is available to pray with you after Communion.
If you normally receive Communion in your own church then we welcome you to receive the bread and wine at St Saviour’s. Otherwise we encourage you to come forward at the appropriate time and have a prayer of blessing.
10am All Age Worship Service
The service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays is shorter, just one hour, and more informal. This is our All Age Worship Service and we try to engage everyone in worship through music, puppet plays, craft, visual aids and creative forms of prayer.
How long does the service last?
Holy Communion lasts for about one and a quarter hours, Morning Prayer and Family Service last for about one hour.
Refreshments
We serve refreshments after our 10am services, either in the church or in the hall. On fourth Sundays we make a special point of having cake and staying a bit longer. All are welcome to stay.
Children
The children go out to Sunday School after the first hymn on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. They return during the offertory hymn during Holy Communion Services, which is about 15 minutes before the end of the service.
